In 1979, a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film on a rural Texas ranch, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them red-handed, the crew find themselves fighting for their lives. The day after X (2022) South by Southwest premiered, writer/director Ti West revealed that during a mandatory two-week COVID-19 quarantine at his New Zealand hotel before production could begin on the film, wrote a prequel, Pearl (2022) . ). A24 saw the script and greenlit the film even before production on “X”; had been wrapped. He asked star Mia Goth if she wanted to stay in New Zealand and film “Pearl”; and she readily accepted. The prequel happened later in 2022.. When Lorraine goes into the basement and turns on the light, there is a modern halogen bulb that wasn’t available in 1979.. It’s not that kind of deal and if you read the little description about the movie it already has all the spoilers in it. First of all, I thought it was really funny when baby Cudi was sitting in the door frame and you could just see her shadow Second, for a movie about making porn, there were enough breasts shown. And the prosthetics used to make the main actor look older, we’re cool. All in all, it’s worth a watch like most things over 5 stars.
