The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley

Story

Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a move to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melted makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti discuss how they got into character during the production of “The Penguin”. Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of Penguin smoking tobacco in The Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful. In his own series, however, the character is portrayed as an occasional tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

The Penguin is just amazing

An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. In Graham Norton I liked: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Oh.

I was wrong

Everyone knows Colin Farrell is a great actor, but here he is unrecognizable as The Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him nominated for any awards for his role in this. The biggest surprise was Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone. I wasn’t too sure when I heard she was nominated for this role, she’s a good actress, but I didn’t think this role was for her.

That’s how DC does it

She’s just as good in this as Farrell and makes you believe Sofia Falcone is a real rival to Penguin. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him nominated for any awards for his role in this. This isn’t your typical DC or Marvel show, it’s a full-on gangster series. This series is set in the underworld of a now half-destroyed Gotham City and is a fantastic follow-up to Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
