The story is a bit clichéd at times, but it’s well-written and well-acted most of the time. The acting is also great, which is not always common when it comes to horror movies. It is very well staged and the atmosphere is truly creepy. The first girl to die in the movie had perhaps the most unpleasant smile I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Especially when the therapist started seeing him in the dark as a hallucination. That really gave me the chills. Then there were some smiles that weren’t too scary like the patient Carl. The pace of the film was excellent. It got creepier as the story progressed. The ending really stuck in my head and I thought I was going to have nightmares that night, which doesn’t happen to me very often. The day after I saw this movie, a car passed by me and the old driver looked at me and smiled… The only thing I could think of was the movie. This was Parker Finn’s first feature film. I really hope he makes more movies like this. A good start to your career as a writer/director. Congratulations!
