During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American team of sports broadcasters had to cover the hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes. exit before credits. For someone who didn’t really know history, the details of what happened really interested me. They did a solid job without cutting corners. The lack of a change of scenery may tire some, but I think it worked in this case. I think they wanted you to feel that the control room is your world, and feel the same way they did on this eventful day. They touched the political and emotional elements perfectly. Makes you think, not preaches. Mixing footage from real events, including broadcasts, definitely involves you in this experience. Nice touch. Although it’s not a movie I’m really going to watch again and again, it’s a very well-made movie that I’d recommend to friends who like similar movies.
