Parthenope is a woman named after her city. In Greek mythology, Parthenope was a siren who committed suicide after failing to charm Odysseus.
The script was written by Peter Gregson
Her body was washed ashore by the tide to where Castel dell’Ovo is now, and she gave her name to the city that later became Naples. In the film, Parthenope is the embodiment of the city of Naples.

Parthenope is a sad film about a cruel, reactionary society that has one main job – to judge everyone with its iron fist of prejudices and traditions.

In Naples, as we see, there are many of them. The most important thing is not to judge anyone, and then you will not be judged!
