Story
When he drives his car drunk, Mark loses his license and has to undergo an MPA check. On the course, he meets Helena and tries to sober up with her, but temptations lurk everywhere.. After Mark’s first failed attempt at sobriety, Helen mentioned that he had only survived for 27 days [00:41:50].
So no pun intended here, as always
Later [00:42:35] Calendar pages pinned up in Mark’s apartment showed that he had only succeeded for 25 days. As with most if not all addictions, those affected by it don’t see it. And the film makes that clear from the start.
Lau is a great actor, he really gives it his all
They even talk and tell our main character what he’s probably thinking. It doesn’t register with him – at least not to the extent that it helps him or makes him change anything. The story is predictable, but you stick around because you’re mesmerized by the performances – including the other players (Tschirner just one).

ClichΓ©s and suspension of disbelief go hand in hand – or so it should. One .. Best watched sober…
