The Time Warp Service offers Deadpool a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. Hugh Jackman said he was definitely done playing Wolverine after Logan (2017). He then regretted that statement after a screening of the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return to film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it and I felt it deeply,” adding that he wanted to have the best time on set with Ryan Reynolds. Also, Reynolds wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was saddened when (Jackman) walked away from the role. As Wolverine and Deadpool travel in their Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock jumps forward three hours as they speak. Elliot Chipman: It’s Deadpool. Kevin Chipman: It’s Wolverine. This movie was painful to watch at times. Even though Deadpool is known for his foul language, this movie pushed the boundaries. With all the jokes from the previous movies and the trailers, this movie arrived with almost an empty tank. The plot was just stupid and didn’t really help the Deadpool franchise. Most of the humor was the same. After a while, it seemed like the hilarious comedian was telling the same joke over and over again, but in a different style. It got boring. There were some fun scenes, but for the first time in a Deadpool movie, there were a lot of parts where I just lost interest and looked at the clock. They probably should have taken the wins of the first two Deadpool movies and left it at that – and I would have been 100% fine with that. Not worth a movie ticket, but good enough when available digitally. The final season of What We Do in the Shadows is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
